Dear A. Alzola Romero
It is worth considering how many zones are appropriate for small species. For small mammals and small birds, just
proximal, shaft, and distal, abbreviated to p, s and d, may be sufficient. Useful to use letters, which are therefore distinct from numerical zones. In the Dobney and Reilly zones, letters are used for the ulna; p and s are not used, so only d could be confused between d (distal end) and ulna (zone D).
