It doesn't seem very complicated. Since there are three hands to a foot and 3.281 feet to a meter, one meter is = 9.843 hands. Simply dividing hands by 10 is probably good enough (I strongly doubt that horses are normally measured to a precision better than 1.57 % in any case). Tommy Tyrberg
