Hi all, I’m think about running a study day/ revision conference linked to GCSE Medicine Through Time. The topic is well supported by our galleries, and we get large numbers of students coming to study the subject (over 8,000 per year). The galleries work so well, with an associated resource pack, that I have not made any changes, or offered anything new for quite a while, so I see the conference as additionality to our service, although unless I can get grant funding we will have to charge extra to cover costs. We have a conference centre on site which can hold up to 150 pupils which I could use. I wondered if anyone else has run a similar event and could give me any ideas/ tips/ suggestions about do’s and don’ts (very bad grammar from an education officer, but you know what I mean!)
