There have been various comments around recently about installing
WN M/W with tar balls on the fly during jobs or possibly by the
dteamsgm user effectively as experiment software.

which I've been asked to give comments on so if any interested parties
have comments let me know. This looks potentially to be a solution
for a great many sites especially as we seek to assimilate non HEP farms.
