{Apologies for Cross Postings} AHDS Digitisation Workshops http://ahds.ac.uk/workshops/ AHDS Digitisation Workshops lead potential and actual digitisers to the wider issues involved in developing a digital resource. Thus besides data capture, delegates can learn about project management, metadata and documentation, deposit and delivery, rights issues and consider how digitisation can fit in with their wider educational purposes. The workshops also offer delegates the opportunity to discuss particular issues in relation to their own projects. Surgery sessions are organised to allow those planning or undertaking a digitisation project to have one-to-one conversations with members of AHDS staff. These workshops are free and open to all. This can include researchers, lecturers, and librarians, as well as those working in other cultural organisations, such as museums and archives. Potential applicants to the AHRB, or other funding bodies such as the Leverhulme Trust or the British Academy, may well find the workshop helpful when completing any technical aspects of their funding applications. Locations --------- London - 27th October London - 28th October Manchester - 8th November Booking ------- The workshops are free and available to all, but places are limited to 30 per event. 20 of the 30 places are reserved for those coming from HE or FE institutions, or for those applying for or receiving grants from the AHRB. This should be indicated on the booking form.
