This season, Soundings ... will present 8 concerts of electroacoustic music in the Reid Concert Hall, Edinburgh during 2004/05. This call is for 8-channel works -only-, although we are also looking for ambisonic works either decoded for an 8-channel array or 1st order ambisonic works in B format (which we'll decode). Formats: In order of preference: 8 mono aiff, sd2 or wav files on DVD-R or (multiple) CD-R, 16 or 24 bit 44.1, 48kHz or 96kHz Please ensure the volume can be read by a Macintosh (0S 9 or X) Please label the files clearly with their track number OR 4 mono aiff, sd2 or wav files on DVD-R or (multiple) CD-R, 16 or 24 bit 44.1, 48kHz or 96kHz consituting a B-format (1st order) recording Please ensure the volume can be read by a Macintosh (0S 9 or X) Please label the files clearly showing which is the W,X,Y and Z signal 8-track DTRS tape for Tascam DA-78 HR (16 or 24 bit, 44.1 or 48kHz) 8-track ADAT tapes 16 or 20 bit at 44.1 or 48kHz capable of being played on an ***ADAT XT20*** are also possible. We'll be using the following setup for speakers/channels (excuse the diagram!): FRONT 1 8 2 7 o 3 6 4 5 REAR Please send a programme note and bio including any performance notes (especially how you expect the speakers to be deployed). We will not be able to return any material you send under any circumstances. However, we will add any work sent to our tape library.
