This now begs the question of the use of portable scanners especially the 'pen' size ones.   

 

Do you charge for electricity if it is direct into a laptop plugged into your electrical supply as opposed to down loading later?

 

Do you believe the light source or the act of rolling the scanner across the page will damage the information?

 

The method certainly speeds up research allowing others to access the files sooner but may reduce the income from photocopying

 

Assuming copyright problems can be dealt with what is the view on this?
