May I, with the permission of the list owners, draw attention to the
following vacancy, which is being advertized in ARC Recruitment this
weekend.

Devon County Council
Conservator (37 hours per week) £14,817 - £20,469 (£16,944+ with
qualification)
The Devon Record Office is looking for an enthusiastic and committed person
to work as part of a team of three during the move to new purpose-built
premises in Exeter and afterwards in the large newly-equipped conservation
studio.  The work includes all aspects of archive conservation and
preservation (paper and parchment, book-binding, photographic and other
special media, environmental monitoring, record keeping, exhibition and
display, reprographics, advisory and outreach work, training, and liaison
with colleagues and the public) and encompasses the Record Offices in Exeter
and Barnstaple and the Exeter Cathedral Archives.
You should be a graduate with a recognized qualification (Society of
Archivists Certificate in Conservation or equivalent) and preferably at
least three years' relevant experience, but graduates with relevant
experience who are willing to undertake training may be considered.
