CPD Workshop
20 May 2004 - Leeds

Want to find out more about CPD and make your professional development more

The Society of Archivists, Professional Accreditation of
Conservator-Restorers, Museums Association and Chartered Institute of
Library and Information Professionals encourage continuing professional
development to enhance their members skills, knowledge and competencies.

In partnership with the Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council,
the four professional bodies have developed a continuing professional
development workshop for all professionals working in the archives,
libraries and museums domains. The workshop will demonstrate the principles
of CPD, give practical help on its implementation and each professional
body will host a sector specific CPD surgery.

By the end of the workshop participants will:

> Have an understanding of the key principles of CPD
> Be able to identify CPD needs for the next 12 months
> Know how to create development objectives
> Have identified a range of CPD solutions and strategies
> Be able to create a personal development plan
> Know how to record and gain recognition for CPD

The cost of the workshop is just £10 including lunch.
