City of York Council - Education and Leisure Outreach Archivist, York City Archives. £17,713 - £21,033 37 hours per week. Temporary post for 2 years We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated Archivist to join a small team running the public archives service. Developing outreach will be the main focus of this post along with continuous improvement of the Archives Service. Applicants should have a recognised post-graduate qualification in archives administration and excellent communication and ICT skills, preferably with experience of outreach, lifelong learning and customer care. An ability to lift heavy boxes is essential. The post-holder will share an 8.30 start on some mornings and Thursday opening until 7.30 pm.
