designs, from 14:00 to 17:30 on Wednesday 6 October 2004 at the RSS in
Errol Street, London. There will be four talks, by Gernod Wassmer
(University of Cologne), John Whitehead & Maria Lucini (University of
Reading), Chris Jennison (University of Bath), and David Spiegelhalter
(MRC Biostatistics Unit, Cambridge) and Christopher Weir (University of
