On the subject of John.Fossum's e-mail about the format of EU documents I have found the EU singularly unhelpful on this point. I have recently had to reformat several very lengthy CAP Reform Directives because they were only supplied in .pdf format. It took me several days to convert them to Word and reformat. An e-mail asking if they were likely ever to be supplied in Word format drew a curt negative and my follow up e-mail pointing out the difficulties this placed on users drew no response at all. Surely the ideal would be to supply all EU documents in at least two or three different formats. We don't all want a virtual copy! Katherine Seavill This message is confidential.
