***Sorry for cross-postings*** Announcement The 11th SETAC LCA Case Studies Symposium will be held at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, a dynamic research organisation not far from the Geneva International Airport - Switzerland. The joint event is planned as a two-day meeting from Wednesday, December 3, in the morning to Thursday, December 4, in the afternoon. The Symposium is organised together with the International Society for Industrial Ecology and the Swiss discussion forum, cross-fertilizing the competences of the different communities for this joint meeting on Environmental Assessment in the Information Society. Topics to be addressed include: 1. Environmental impacts of new materials 2. Environmental impacts of the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) infrastructure 3. Environmental impacts of services, dematerialization 4. Environmental impacts and benefits of e-commerce and related ICT applications 5. Implication of ICT on consumption and rebound effects Various side events will be organised before and after the symposium. The 5th of December will be held the Ecoinvent 2000: Results of the Harmonisation, Update, and Extension of LCA Data in Switzerland (participation is free for the participants of the SETAC case studies symposium) More informations are also available on http://www.setac.org/lca11.html See attached document for more informations on content and side events.
