I can't remember if I contacted you about this before but just in case -
the Highland SMR is available online at www.ambaile.org.uk

We are currently promoting the Highland Archaeology Challenge to
encourage people to send in photos to add to this site. Some details of
this are on our website www.higharch.demon.co.uk

The online SMR is actually a copy of the master database which is
updated regularly - it isn't a live link. Nor does it include much of
the detail we hold in the master database. I am working to get much
more comprehensive versions (yes, probably plural) set up which will I
hope include online GIS, hyperlinked 'grey literature' and a version of
the records in Scots Gaelic.

Hope this is some use

Just a quick reminder that I am giving a paper at the forthcoming CBA
Education conference about on-line SMRs. I am planning to circulate a
handout with details of current/forthcoming examples. If anyone wants to
be
included on the handout and hasn't already contacted me can they send me
the details asap.

cheers
david
