ColinnHynson writes: Perhaps what archaeologists should be doing is making
sure that their voices and ideas are heard at Hub meetings when the second
round of Renaissance money is divided up. If ideas can be justified on
either heavy community involvement or in raising literacy or numeracy, then
so much the better

How do we do this? The fragmentation of archaeology means that those of
us who use museum archives for research purposes have no involvement or
voice in the future of those archives and certainly no influence on those
who make the decisions about the future of such archives. To whom do we
make the case for improving access and raising the profile of original
research?
