Research Assistants/Officers Institute of Water and Environment Closing date: 07 March 2003 The Institute of Water & Environment (IWE), based at Cranfield University's Silsoe campus, is a leading centre for research and postgraduate teaching in water management and trans-disciplinary environmental issues. As part of our current expansion programme we are seeking numerate candidates with modelling experience to work on the following topic areas: 1. Catchment modelling of hydrology and diffuse pollution 2. Agent-based modelling 3. Water resources management 4. Irrigation water use Postgraduate and post-doctoral applicants with experience in one or more of these areas would be particularly welcome. Computer programming ability would be an advantage for the first two areas. Postgraduate candidates would be expected to register for a higher degree by research. Contracts of up to 3 years in duration are available.
