ment.&nbsp; The Pre Sales Consultant will be expected to demonstrate the technical capabilities of the product set, in relation to the client's existing or intended technical environment.&nbsp; They will then be required to provide supporting technical evidence of the advantage in acquiring or upgrading their investment in data or GIS&nbsp; technology<BR>

The Pre Sales Consultant will transition the pre sales technical brief over to Post Sales, who will be expected to implement the project plan.<BR>
<BR>
CUSTOMER&nbsp; SKILLS<BR>
<BR>
Suitable candidates will have experience of working in a Pre Sales role previously OR be involved in a front office client facing role, where they will be expected to exercise their written and verbal/oral communication skills.&nbsp; In particular this will entail building bid documentation and demonstration software.&nbsp; This may include training or presenting.<BR>
<BR>
Must be able to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical people and relate to salespeople and customers. <BR>
<BR>
PREFERRED SKILLS<BR>
<BR>
o A sound understanding of Large Scale RDBMS environments, ideally Oracle Spatial. <BR>
o A strong understanding of Client/Server architectures and Web hosting applications.<BR>
o A solid technical background is required in operating systems and databases.<BR>
o Hardware platforms and Operating Systems<BR>
o Windows NT, 9X, 2000, Solaris and UNIX platforms.<BR>
o TCP/IP and networking.<BR>
o Applications Programming<BR>
o Visual Basic, perhaps Visual C++<BR>
