SUSTAINABLE SYSTEMS IN BUSINESS & INDUSTRY. The School of Natural Resources & Environment at the University of Michigan seeks to fill a nine-month tenure-track position, at the assistant or associate professor rank, with a person whose scholarship examines private-sector interactions with the environment. Possible research emphases include, but are not limited to: energy (especially renewable); transportation; land use; partnerships among business, government, and activist groups; "green" product development; consumption; life-cycle analysis; systems analysis of the environmental impacts of products and processes; ecological and social sustainability; and corporate environmental responsibility. Disciplinary backgrounds include, but are not limited to: policy or managerial sciences, business, planning, engineering, systems modeling, technology and society, and economics. A doctoral degree or other terminal degree is required. The successful candidate is expected to establish a strong program of funded research and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
