LECTURER A IN ITALIAN
£20,470 - £24,435 pa Ref LA/33
3 year fixed term post to commence 1 September 2002
Native or near-native speaker of Italian required to contribute to the teaching of
Italian, including translation into Italian both at undergraduate and postgraduate
level, stylistics, and business language.
You will also be expected to contribute to other Italian-related modules as might be
appropriate to your research profile and to the degrees offered in the School (i.e.
Translating and Interpreting Studies, Contemporary European Studies,
Contemporary Italian Studies, and Advanced Language Studies).
You should have expertise in teaching the Italian language at University level.
Experience of working in a British University including the performance of
administrative tasks would be an advantage.
You will also be a committed researcher with a publication record in an area of
Italian Studies appropriate to any of the centres of the European Studies Research
Institute (ESRI), viz. Literary and Cultural Studies, Language and Linguistics,
Contemporary History and Politics.
