Subject: GridSearcher

Hello-

I'd like to let folks know about a new tool that my student Xuehai Zhang has developed called GridSearcher, the alpha release is available at http://people.cs.uchicago.edu/~hai/GridSearcher

GridSeacher allows you to search a set of MDS GIIS's for specific information - for example, you can query over a large set of machine for those with a certain OS, load level, architecture, partial domain name (*.gov), etc. Currently, this tool is in Java, so you download it and run it locally. We are working on an applet version that runs remotely.

Please - try it out, run the tutorial, and let us know what you think!

-Jenny and Xuehai
