Dear all,

This report, while very brief, contains pointers to project reports from
Harvard and Elsevier/Yale on their respective e-journal archiving
initiatives. And from OCLC/GPO on their web archiving work. Of potential
interest.

Nancy

NISO = National Information Standards Organization (US-based and works
directly with ISO)
BISG = Book Industry Study Group (US-based? But evidently working with
other similar groups worldwide)
GPO = [US] Government Printing Office

The report on the NISO/BISG meeting on Digital Archiving held at the recent
ALA Midwinter meeting is now featured on the NISO website,
http://www.niso.org. This report on the recent looks at 3 ongoing projects
that examine cost-effective business models for archiving, explore rights
issues, and identify needed standards.
