> Background
> The ADC subject centre has launched the Pedagogic Research Fund for
> support to build pedagogic research capacity. The fund is managed
> separately from the existing Learning and Teaching Project Fund and will
> initially operate for a one year pilot. Applications for funding are
> invited to be submitted to the centre by 8 March 2002. Decisions will be
> announced by 30th April 2002 and projects will be expected to commence
> shortly after this date and complete within one year. There is £33,000 in
> this dedicated fund targeted at project funding in the region of £3,000 to
> £5,000.

> As the subject communities do not have well established practice in this
> area, the fund will be targeted at key research questions and supported by
> expert research mentors. This support group session will introduce the

> A short presentation followed by discussion and small group work.

> Outcomes
> At the end of the support group you should be able to:
> *     Discuss key research areas covered by the fund 
> *     Generate clear research questions 
> *     Explore research methods for addressing those questions
> *     Plan an outline application for the fund
> *     Identify other sources of relevant funding

> 2001), Edinburgh (21 Jan 2002), Sheffield (23 Jan 2002), Bristol (5 Feb
