Forwarded to the list as requested. Please do not reply directly to this message, but instead to Felicia Hidajat <mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Many thanks. --------------------------------------------- The TLTP3 Capabil-IT-y programme aimed to develop students' key skills using customised software in selected subject disciplines in 3 institutions - IT/numeracy in nursing and midwifery (Wolverhampton), effective communication in statistics (North London), numeracy in law, European languages (Northumbria) - and communication, numeracy and IT for a complete student cohort at a fourth institution (Liverpool Hope). Additional funding was used to investigate the use of the outcomes with disabled students. We have extensively evaluated our work and our many and varied experiences will, we think, be useful to others considering the development of key skills using online resources. The day also provides the opportunity for participants to share their work - by providing a poster or software. So, if you'd like to attend/provide a poster/software please complete the form below and return to: <mailto:[log in to unmask]> 020 7753 5765 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Capabil-IT-y Developing key skills using online learning ~ end of programme conference ~ Monday 29 January 2001 at the University of North London 10.00 Coffee and registration 10.30 Welcome to the event Dr Georges Holmes, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) 10.45 The lessons of Capabil-IT-y Dr Barbara Page, Capability/Employability Development Coordinator and Capabil-IT-y programme Director 11.15 - 12.30 Workshops (see choices below) 12.30 - 13.30 Lunch There will be a display/hands on opportunity of investigating e-learning module development at UNL and discussing the outcomes from the Accessibility project 13.30-14.45 Workshops (See choices below) 14.45- 15.30 Plenary Developing pedagogically-sound e-learning Professor Tom Boyle, Director, Learning Technology Research Institute, University of North London and Deputy Director, Information and Computing Sciences LTSN 15.30 Concluding remarks and tea.
