You speak in jest of the deletion of the Song of Songs from the Bible. But, in fact, I've heard of just that. I don't when, I don't know in what language, but I've heard of Bibles from which the Song has been deleted. Can anyone confirm this and give more details?

I'd say that they didn't understand the connection between mystical
experience and erotic imagery. Hmm, they probably wouldn't appreciate
Bernard's ideas about the Song of Songs, too. Actually, they probably would
prefer that the Song of Songs be deleted from the Bible.
