Below is a list of several new journal issues that came out in June (don't let the edition date fool you!). I've included publishers' URLs so that you can view the tables of contents and/or abstracts. Disasters, vol. 24, no. 2, June 2000 - http://www.blackwellpublishers.co.uk/asp/journal.asp?ref=03613666 International Journal of Refugee Law, vol. 11, no. 4, April 2000 - http://www3.oup.co.uk/reflaw/hdb/Volume_11/Issue_04 International Migration, vol. 38, no. 2, June 2000 - http://www.blackwellpublishers.co.uk/asp/journal.asp?ref=0020-7985 Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, vol. 26, no. 2, April 2000 - http://www.catchword.com/rpsv/catchword/carfax/1369183x/contp1.htm Online Journal of Peace and Conflict Resolution, no. 3.2, June 2000 - http://trinstitute.org/ojpcr/toc3_2.htm (full-text) 2. A new abstracts journal has just been released by the Social Science Research Network entitled "Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Law Abstracts." Its objective is to "publish abstracts of working papers, forthcoming articles, and recently published articles dealing with the law of immigration, asylum, refugees, alienage, citizenship, nationality and naturalization in the United States and abroad." Tables of contents are not yet available online, but requests for sample copies can be completed by going to https://zeus.ssrn.com/SECURE/subscription.taf?_function=trial. 3. The Journal of Humanitarian Assistance is in the process of moving to a new site: http://www.jha.ac. At present, the old site is still being updated (see http://www-jha.sps.cam.ac.uk/jcontent.htm). Several new academic articles were posted in June. 4. The Humanitarian Affairs Review: A Quarterly Journal of Global Policy Issues (http://www.humanitarian-review.org) is being re-organized and is due to become available again at the end of July. A brief description of its focus is available on the ECHO site at http://europa.eu.int/comm/echo/en/publicat/pcof_en.html. **Current Awareness** A number of publishers offer free "current awareness" services that inform their readers by e-mail when a new journal issue has been published. Several examples include: Carfax: Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies -http://www.catchword.com/rpsv/catchword/carfax/1369183x/contp1.htm - Select "Table of Contents Alerting"; this service can be initiated for other journal titles as well. OUP: International Journal of Refugee Law - http://www3.oup.co.uk/reflaw - Select "Email Table of Contents Service"; this service can be initiated for other journal titles as well. Alternatively, you can simply search several journal publishers' web sites from one starting point at PsychArticle Search (http://www.wiso.uni-augsburg.de/sozio/hartmann/psycho/jsearch.html) in order to locate relevant article references. In spite of the title, any term can be entered as a search term, not just psychology-related ones.
