Computational Anatomy Toolbox for SPM12 released (CAT12)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I am pleased to announce the official release of CAT12 today.
It is freely available for download at:
http://www.neuro.uni-jena.de/cat
CAT12 is a new software that will replace the previous VBM8 toolbox. It contains substantial enhancements over VBM8 and the major difference (except that it's running under SPM12) consists in the option to estimate and analyze the cortical surface and related parameters such as thickness and gyrification. This major change is now also reflected in the new toolbox name because CAT12 will provide easy-to-use tools that cover diverse morphometric methods such as voxel-based morphometry (VBM), surface-based morphometry (SBM), deformation-based morphometry (DBM), and region- or label-based morphometry (RBM).
Please also take a look at the mostly updated CAT12 manual:

CAT12 is developed by Christian Gaser and Robert Dahnke (Jena University Hospital, Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology) with important contributions from Rachel Yotter (surface code).
We are always interested to hear feedbacks and comments from CAT12 users - please contact us at [log in to unmask] If you happen to find any bug, please report them at the same email address by sending the full error message.
We would like to warmly thank everyone for testing, reporting bugs and giving feedback on the beta version.
CAT12 is free but copyright software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation (either version 2, or at your option, any later version).
Best,
Christian
