We are organizing a stream on Spatial Risk Analysis for the forthcoming EURO Conference (https://www.euro2019dublin.com/) which will take place from June 23 to June 26 in fascinating Dublin. This stream is part of the follow up activities linked to the special issue that we recently edited for the Risk Analysis Journal.
Given the high resonance that characterized the special issue (it has reached a record number of submissions in the history of the Journal), we thought that the interdisciplinary conference environment at EURO would represent an excellent opportunity to further explore and network on this emerging topic of research.
We would thus be delighted to invite you to take part in shaping this field by presenting your recent work on the topic at one of our sessions.
We synthesized five key interactive stages of spatial risk analysis processes across the many application domains showcased in the special issue: problem structuring, predictive modelling and forecasting, preference modelling and value aggregation, robustness analyses and communication and aggregation of results. We welcome both theoretical contributions and applications addressing any of the above stages.
As soon as you will confirm us that you would like to be part in this stream, we will send you the official invitation through the conference website. The abstract can be max. 1500 characters and the deadline for its submission will be February 8, 2019, but we would like to get your confirmation and preliminary title by January 7, please, so we can properly plan the stream.
Nikos Argyris, Valentina Ferretti and Simon French
