Teaching Fellow in Social Science Research Methods

King's College London - Department of Social Science, Health and Medicine 

Institute of Gerontology, School of Social Science and Public Policy 

Applications are invited for a 12 month teaching fellowship in Social Science Research Methods. Applicants will also be expected to contribute substantially to lecturing in the Department in at least one of the following fields: Demography of Ageing; Social or Public Policy for an Ageing Society; Psychology and/or Sociology of Ageing; or Ageing and Development. 
Applicants who have disciplinary expertise and are able and willing to extend their knowledge and understanding to the detailed consideration of 'ageing' within their discipline will be considered. 

The post holder will be based in the Department of Social Science Health & Medicine and the Institute of Gerontology, one of the leading centres worldwide dedicated to the study of ageing and later life. The post holder will be responsible for delivering quantitative social science research methods and statistics teaching across all postgraduate Social Science, Health and Medicine programmes as well as contribute to the wider teaching in the Institute of Gerontology in areas of expertise. In addition the post holder will undertake teaching-related academic responsibilities, supervise MSc/MA student dissertations, and act as a personal tutor.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, within the Grade 6 scale, currently £33,343 to £39,335, per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance, per annum.
