Biblical times to the Cold War era. Some pictures and the exhibit

The Press release is at

This is NOT a map exhibition, but it does include several interesting
map examples including:
- 1985 Soviet map of East Anglia showing English towns and cities in
Cyrillic script
- an Allied escape map of the German-Swiss frontier printed on fabric
- a bogus map of the D-Day target area (accurate except for meaningless
place names) and a map of the Utah Beach area prepared for the invasion
of Europe in June 1944
- detailed dossiers of information gathered by the Nazis for their
planned invasion of Britain during WWII
- Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 Air Photo Mosaic - censored edition of Dover
'Under Covers: Documenting Spies' runs from January 19 to July 3, 2010
(CLOSED 2-5 April inclusive). Entry to the exhibition is free. Opening
times are Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-4.30pm, Sunday closed .
