The first IWMW (Institutional Web Management Workshop) event took place
at King's College London in July 1997. The next event, the 17th in the
series, will take place at the University of Bath on 26-28 June.
As described in a post at
https://ukwebfocus.wordpress.com/2013/02/04/uk-university-home-pages-the-way-we-were/
a rolling display of UK University home pages from 1997 is available,
which uses the Internet Archive to show how University home pages used
to look. In addition to institutional home page the service also
illustrates how University Library home pages used to look, as well as
providing a display of University Gateway pages - the pages which
librarians often manage in order to provide links to interesting Web
resources.
Things have obviously changed a lot since then, not only the
look-and-feel of University Web sites, but also the range and
complexity of the services provided by institutions, the importance of
services outside the institution and the strategic importance of Web
services to the institution
The IWMW 2013 event, which has the theme "What next?" will provide an
opportunity to reflect on the developments over the past 17 years and
to identify future developments, especially in light of the changing
landscape in the higher education sector.
We therefore invite submissions for plenary talks, workshop sessions and
other ideas. Further information is available at

Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss possible submissions.
Thanks
Brian Kelly
