Monica, (and everyone else who wants to sign off, suspend, etc. at some point)
Here is the letter you got when you signed on to the list. It's a good idea to
keep them. All the instructions you need are here.

File physio introduction

Hi this is Heather (Floral Dance) Upfield welcoming
you to the PHYSIO email discussion list. PHYSIO is provided within
the Mailbase system of lists on the UK Joint Academic network
(JANET). PHYSIO is for general information and discussion on all
matters of relevance to physiotherapists in the UK and beyond.
Participation is invited from anybody with an interest in the
physiotherapy profession - academics, undergraduate students,
researchers, educators, clinicians, administrators.
PHYSIO mail messages are now available in daily digest form, whereby
you will get one message containing all that day's messages, instead
of a series of individual ones.
Along with this Introduction message, you will also receive a 'Quick
Reference' list for using Mailbase lists generally. Please note, that
there is an address for CONVERSATIONAL messages, and a different
address for COMMAND messages
CONVERSATIONAL messages go to: [log in to unmask]
(to other list members for discussion)
COMMAND messages go to: [log in to unmask]
(to do things like join, leave, suspend, resume, digest etc)
Here are the most useful COMMAND messages:
join physio <firstname><lastname> to join the PHYSIO list
leave physio to signoff the list
suspend mail physio to temporarily stop receiving email
resume mail physio to start receiving email again
review physio to get a list of PHYSIO members
set physio digest to get messages in digest form
set physio nodigest to return to getting individual messages
Note that PHYSIO is set Reply-to-List. This means that if you use a
REPLY command on your local mail system, your message will go to
everybody on the list rather than just the individual you're
responding to. Take care to re-address!
If there are problems delivering email to an address (through computer
outages, or other reasons for failed mail), then the PHYSIO member
will be removed from the list, in the interests of good housekeeping.
This is not a punishment! If you get taken off the list, just contact
me for advice.
The list-owners are myself, Heather Upfield, and Dr Brian Durward both
from the Department of Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret College,
Edinburgh. All inquiries or comments about the list should go to me,
in the first place:

I welcome contact from list members wherever you are - look forward to
'talking' to you!
Cheers!
