Yes, ourselves and others. Actually it's quite easy to see Christ in
oneself; harder to see him in other people, especially the awkward
ones we have so much difficulty with. It's a standard spiritual
exercise to try to see Christ in our enemies.
But it's not my intention to be an apologist, at least not on this
list; I simply seek to illuminate the thinking behind the iconography
we all study.
