RE: purchasing videos from Italy
I would like to remind list members (in the USA) of the fact that Italian
and US video formats are not the same. It requires a "Multi-speed" VCR to
properly reproduce Italian format videos as well as those from certain
other parts of the world. Be sure your institution has such machines
available or you will be disappointed.
There is also a conversion process by which a tape in one format can be
retaped into another, but this requires an extremely expensive machine
which few places own and the quality leaves something to be desired.
