Dear colleagues,
we are building a database of cases of enterprises in Eastern Europe and
in East-West business. May I invite you to send us any case studies that
you or your colleagues have prepared, as well as information on good
case studies that you have used for teaching or research purposes.
Our aims are twofold:
1) To provide information about good case material for teaching
purposes, both cases written for teaching and research case that can be
used for teaching.
2) To provide information for those seeking case research as input for
their own research. We are considering an analysis based on case-survey
methodology on some of the material. For this purpose, longitudinal
studies are of most interest.
The summary information on the cases will be made available to all
respondends, such that everyone gets information on available
cases. (However, we regret we cannot act as case clearing house).
If you know of good cases but cannot send a copy, please provide us with
a summary information and a precise reference.
The case study collection and database shall cover transition economies
1989-1999, including in particular:
- former state-owned enterprises undergoing transformation.
- foreign investment firms, especially acquisitions.
- acquisitions within the region.
- de novo firms (entrepreneurial firms).
I look forward to receiving you cases, and you will hear from us soon.
Regards
Klaus Meyer
