Gosh! Sarah's project sounded quite timely and useful in terms of educating
many people about Singer's position. Sarah, do you have it linked to some
search engines?
Why should it be considered to be a "platform?" Since Singer's received so
much publicity, generally, why couldn't we just as easily conclude that
Sarah's resource, comprehensive as it sounds like it is, could educate
members of the general public, just surfing around for info, about problems
with Singer's position which they've never considered?
Good work, Sarah. It sounds very much like you're doing the kind of
activism so often claimed (here on this list) that people in the "ivory
tower" don't do. Offering an information resource to promote *thinking*
carefully through Singer's claims seems to me to be a good thing.
Is there only one way, f-t-f protesting, to promote a point of view about
Singer? I think not.
Sarah, I'll check it out for access as soon as I can and get back to you
privately. Thanks for being careful to consider that issue.
