> > Yep Judy, 'Clumsy and Tactless' works for me.
Dont worry - I'm not offended - I've been told quite often in 'real life" too.
Not only am I genuinely clumsy and tactless, but I'm also obsessive about my
narrow set of of interests, I'm compulsive about expressing them even if it
means social isolation, I have hair trigger sensitivities and a very short
fuse.
It's called being "on the Autistic Spectrum".
This shd give social model theorists some insight about what it's going to
take if they/we are really serious about accommodating Cognitive Difference.
They/we are going to have to put up with, even value, people like me. I dont
know about you, but I'm not sure I'd be equal to the task.
Judy
PS : note the "they/we" - a brand new post-modern pronoun proudly invented by
myself and suitable for describing one's position on a spectrum - when you're
not sure exactly where the cut off point is - when you can no longer make
simple dichotomies between "us" and "them".
