Dear Laurence and Susan,
Yes, it will be interesting to track these demeaning comments. They will,
of course, be rhetorical devices, designed to undermine his authority and
power, although it is unlikely they will have much impact in that country.
I can't help feeling though, that the big issue there is the fact that
Megawati (sorry for the spelling) is NOT president - because she is a
woman. Surely that is the oppression we need to focus on immediately.
Just a thought.
