Hello dear archaeologists in Cyprous, Greece, Turkey and the other world,
I am a Greek archaeologist and I agree that we must leave nationalistic
"instincts" out of the job. I hope that peace and collaboration between our
countries will prevail. I wish the best for the excavation team of Eastern
Mediterranean University.

>Cyprus is not a Greek island. There are two nations in Cyprus, Greek and
Turkish Cypriotes. Salamis is very important site in Mediterrenean
Archaeology. We must leave nationalist feeling in Archaeology and History.
Salamis excavation team is from East Mediterrenean University, it is a
Turkish University in Cyprus. Archaeology is not only Greek work in Cyprus,
especially for not nationalist Greeks. Nationalism born the Problem in
Cyprus. It is very important that Peace in Cyprus gives a new perspective
for Greek and Turkish Archaeologists.
