As an aside to the 'sampling strategies' thread on Britarch...
With a view to a possible themed issue, 'Internet Archaeology' would be
very interested in receiving article proposals concerned with sampling
strategies and how they have already been used in a broad range of
fieldwork projects (*not* just within UK), especially if they carry
potential for embedding multimedia elements, such as clickable maps, data
sets, animated GIS images...
But if sampling strategies don't tickle your fancy, then I would like to
take this opportunity to announce that we are presently seeking
contributions for a future issue on 'Visualisation' (IA 8 - opening Nov
'99). The initial call for papers for this theme can be found at:
http://intarch.ac.uk/journal/issue7/visualisation_theme.html
If you are interested in submitting a proposal to the journal on sampling
stategies, visualisation or indeed any other topic, you may do so
online via the link at: http://intarch.ac.uk/news/housestyle/index.html
Please pass this message on to others who may be interested.
Many thanks,
Judith
