RESEARCHER
Half-time over 23 months
Applications are invited from Social Science graduates for a half time
post to work on a research project on the experiences of people with
learnign difficulties and their families in making the transition between
children's and adults' services. the project is funded by the Home
Farm Trust from a grant from the National Lottery Charities Board.
The researcher will be working with Robina Mallet, HFT and Ken
Simons and Dr Linda Ward at the Norah Fry Research Centre.
Applicants should have relevant experience and knowledge of
services for young people with learning disabilities and good
organisational/interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of
both quantitative and qualitative research would be an advantage and
a commitment to involving young people and their families in the
project is vital.
The post is based in Bristol but a willingness to travel within the UK
is essential. Travel expenses will be payable. the post is available
from November 1999 or as soon as possible thereafter for a period of
23 months. The starting salary will be in the range £9,093-£9,935
according to qualifications and experience.
