Courtney,
First of all...is athletic training is something you really want to do? If
so, great! I would start by looking at organizations in Colorado where you
can possibly do internships in the summer. Personally, I think this is one
of the best ways of hooking up with the right people, so that they could
refer you to the next level. Most of the time its the people you know that
will get you in. Sometimes, the organization especially with professional
teams offer internship opportunities. I know that the Seattle Mariners
offers something like that. One key point is to start looking now-you can
look up stuff on the internet. Get the contact person's information, so you
can either call them or write a letter why you are interested in being an
intern. Another thing is, don't give up...there is always something out
there. Keep bugging them-this will also show that you are serious in what
you want to do. Alrighty? Write back.
