Dear List members:
Does anyone know of passage in the lives of Birgitta of Sweden or
Gertrud of Helfta in which St. Agnes appears and is described as fat
and curly-haired? It might be associated with a vision of Agnes
clinging to the Sacred Heart. Margaret Visser (who does not belong
to this list) is writing a book about St. Agnes and came across a
reference to this improbable depiction, but it was without a citation
and she asked me to post this query.
Thanks immensely.
