The Chronicle of Higher Education is sponsoring an on-line discussion this
week on an essay that suggests that colleges and universities may be going
too far to assist those diagnosed with learning disabilities. The essay
suggests that some of the accommodations such students receive may give them
an unfair edge over other students and impose an unreasonable burden on
faculty members. The Chronicle invites members of this list to read the essay
