Dear Simon: it saddens me, though, that physios have become so scientific in
their approach ....... to me this skill is an art rather than a science.
("call me old-fashioned..")

I don't suppose any of the physios who subscribe to this list would support
recipe physio: but I would submit that we all have our favourite techniques
which seem to work for us in certain circumstances......and often we cannot
work out why they worked until they DID work: much easier to do the
reasoning after the event and justify our technique! I have a certain amount
of experience and I use it: and I can usually justify what I do if asked to
explain my actions: but don't necessarily think through every single reason
for each action.
