Let me just gently remind list members that when they reply to a message
this is passed on to each list member - this is great when we want to
stimulate discussion, pick up points of substance , raise the level of
debate, share information and viewpoints...
When an individual generously offers to send material to list members,
the reply requesting that material should go to that individual - thus
keeping the list for discussion - its intended function.
To open up a discussion point or to introduce yourself and your own
interests in child and family history, simply reply to this message or

It is approximately one year since H-Childhood was launched. This is a
list with similar focus but a much larger membership, based in USA. Do
members of history-child-family still regard that membership of both
lists is worthwhile? The several new members of history-child-family
will not yet be able to tell, but as list member, I would be interested
to know how older members view this. Contributions to the list please,
rather than to myself.
For those who have it at the moment - I hope you are enjoying the
summer!
