Position Description in Summary:
Large international academic unit seeks assistant director for Russian
&
East European Studies. Primary duties will include coordinating and
developing academic outreach activities to regional schools,
businesses
and the community, advising undergraduate students in Russian & East
European Studies, assisting in implementation of international
partnerships, identifying and seeking external sources of funding
(including proposal development and writing), and preparing reports to
funding agents.
Minimum knowledge/ education level required:
M.A. degree in field related to international studies. At least one
language in addition to English, preferably a Slavic language or
Hungarian
or Romanian.
Minimum experience level required:
Two years of relevant experience: working in advisory capacity with
university or college students, work in NGO or GO in Russia/ Eastern
Europe or concerning this region, or a combination of these
experiences.
