Human Rights, Disability
and Education
Despite government legislation people with disabilities still have an
uphill fight to assert their rights to education. This decade of human
rights education provides a context for exploring the nature of this
struggle. The conference is organised around three themes; education as a
human right for people with disabilities, human rights for people with
disabilities in education and human rights for the broader community. It
brings together researchers, practitioners and people with direct
experience of struggle in education.
