Gary raises the interesting question of what would constitute disruption at
a Catholic Mass. During the consecration - the most solemn and holy part of
the service - in a typical parish church you will find some (doubtless
well-meaning) chap strumming a country-and-western song on a guitar; young
children will be entering into the spirit of the thing by playing cowboys
and indians around the altar; while other folk will choose this moment to
go out to the loo. I say nothing of screaming babies, old folk coughing,
sneezing, wheezing and snorting, latecomers arriving and earlygoers
departing. With all this going on, I for one would positively welcome a few
pious Jews standing with their hats on. They would raise the tone of the
occasion. Gary, you can come and stand in my church any time :-)
