I assure you there is. It is the normal and correct term for the diocese of
an archbishop. In England we have the Archdioceses of Westminster, of
Liverpool, Birmingham and Southwark. This is the term used in the Catholic
Directory, which I have before me, and on the letterheads of the respective
archbishops, with some of whom I have corresponded.
