Job Title: Health Improvement Manager
Accountable To: Chief Executive, Newham Primary Care Group
Grade/Salary: circa £30k/£31k (SMP17/16)
Responsible for: Practice Development Nurse (Primary
Care)
Administrative Officer
Liaison responsibility: Public Health Analyst
Newham lead for Health Promotion and
Community Relations
Hours: Nominally 36.00 per week, but as required to fulfil the
requirements of the job
Location: Newham Primary Care Group Offices and
within East London
Job Summary
* To lead on the implementation of the Health Improvement
Programme within the Newham Primary Care Group.
* To work with the Health Authority and London Borough of Newham
in the development of strategies and policies in line with the HImP -
specifically for Newham
* To lead for the PCG on Health Improvement Programme related
development issues and manage liaison between Health Authority Public
Health and Health Promotion staff and the PCG.
* To support the development of an educational strategy for the
PCG area.
